Pictures and your own photos

Branded pictures, carousels and AI pictures are available today. Studio has a Create tab for making pictures and a Library tab for your photos, videos, logos and finished pictures. Review the words and media together before approving a post for publishing.

How post pictures work

• Posts for Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn get one picture, drawn with your logo, colours and font and a few words from the post.
• Some posts, such as team or feature posts, use one of your own photos when you've added a suitable one.
• Tip posts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn can become carousels: a cover, three points and a closing slide.
• You see every picture and slide before you approve. In Edit you can swap the photo for another of yours, or use words only.
• Changing the words or the photo means approving the post again.

Add your photos, videos and logo

1. 1Open Studio, then Library. Choose Photos, Videos or Logos to add your own media.
2. 2Upload JPEG, PNG or WebP images up to 4 MB each, or an MP4 or MOV video up to 50 MB. Add tags such as team, work, premises or product so the right photo is picked.
3. 3Confirm you have the right to use each photo or video. In Create a post, choose the items you want from the library; each network checks that they fit.

We remove hidden details such as location and camera data from every image before storing it. Your photos stay private to your workspace and appear publicly only on posts you approve. Set your logo, colours and font on the Brand page.

Dental and healthcare practices: keep patient records and private health details out of your workspace. Confirm you have permission to use any photo or video you upload.

AI pictures

Growth and Pro include a monthly allowance of AI pictures. Open Studio, then Create, describe the picture, and add reference photos if you like. Choose a shape and model, then press Generate. You can ask for people, including yourself from your own photos, for every industry. Only the picture services' own safety checks can turn a request down. If you ask for words on a picture, we tell you when they need a second look.

• Make variations creates more options from a picture. Edit with words lets you describe a change. Reuse prompt brings its original description back.
• Finished pictures stay in your Library. Use in a post opens the post composer with that picture selected; nothing goes out until you approve it.
• OpenAI picture generation is available today. Gemini is also offered; if a model can't complete a request, the studio tells you why and offers Try with another model.
